Artopia Seattle is a grassroots celebration of emerging and established
artists and communities. The event focuses on a wide rage of artistic
disciplines including: sculpture, industrial design, performance (music,
dance, fire, bicycles, motorcycles, carnival street performance, etc.),
graffiti, illustration, comic art, painting, photography, graphic design,
multimedia and multidisciplinary art, short film & video, tattoo art.

Alligator Pears are a loud, high energy, original band out to create their own musical world: sometimes dark and brooding; sometimes crazed and rocking; always interesting and infectious. The intense vocals and incendiary guitar playing of Jonah Simone, the thunderous bass and high energy stage presence of Sean Bulkley, and the massive polyrhythmic drumming of Danni Townsend add up to make a superb group that can play anything from simple catchy songs to multipart, heavily layered arrangements with extended improvisation. Within their original songs, Tool meets Jimi Hendrix meets Smashing Pumpkins meets Skip James meets Eric Clapton meets The Mars Volta and more. All of these elements slam together to form a compelling unit that just should not be missed- the Alligator Pears.
